He’s just hooking a set of speakers to a head unit and having to set EQs. If he can’t do that then he shouldn’t own a car audio system. But most likely he is capable of doing that. And he has heard good speakers before and has probably hooked them up in his vehicle and tuned his head unit to make them sound good. He can’t be stupid.

IMO, the CDT's actually have the "best" response (less variance).... Pretty impressive for a pair of $99 speakers - especially when compared to speakers costing over 3 times as much... THey are all extremely close up to about 400hz, which I thought was interesting (goes to show how much the "room" effects the response, I guess?).
