Chiodos. Illuminaudio. Review Summary: Chiodos, to everyone’s surprise, proved their name isn’t just a synonym for “Craig Owens”. Let’s break Chiodos down for a second. They’ve attempted on every album to define their sound, but it never seemed quite right. On prior albums, Craig’s role in the band required everyone else to take a ...

On Illuminaudio, Chiodos does just that, pulling off one of the biggest suprises of the year. The aforementioned title track is a perfect segue into the album. It uses a good bit of technology to create an atmosphere best described as dark and brooding, but also strangely optimistic. New lead vocalist Brandon Bolmer immediately shows his ...

This album is the first album released without former lead singer Craig Owens. When I first heard the news of Owens departure, I was quickly apt to follow Owens steps and ignore Chiodos. I felt as though Craig Owens made the band and Chiodos was doomed without him. I was wrong. With Illuminaudio, they have set a new standard for new music today.

AllMusic Review by Jason Lymangrover. With Yesterday's Rising 's Brandon Bolmer replacing vocalist Craig Owens and Underminded ’s Tanner Wayne taking the place of drummer Derrick Frost in their new lineup, Chiodos stick to their emo-screamo-hardcore blueprint for Illuminaudio. Bolmer has a powerful voice, and he shares Owens ’ range, with ...
Chiodos - Devil (album review 4) | Sputnikmusic
https://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/61666/Chiodos-Devil/
Review Summary: Craig Owens brings Pop back to the Chiodos formula. When Illuminaudio was released in 2010, Chiodos showed that they didn't need Craig Owens. Not only did their last album completely annihilate their previous material, it showed that there was some real talent in the band instrumentally. This was exemplified by thunderous ...
