MediaDirect functions play DVD with audio through internal speakers just fine. Playing same DVD with CinePlayer produced no audio. Then I noticed no system sounds were being produced at all. I checked system audio settings/volume controls to confirm that I had not muted volumes (which I often do with keyboard <Fn>-End key combo).
