The Cobalt2 are a very fine cable. Thick and sturdy but not overly so. Allows great full range sound. I was realli impressed at the high end of these cables. I was expecting the good bass, but the way they sounded up top was a real treat. each run is made up of 12 solid core cables.

Both the MIT and LAT cables are very stiff and are somewhat difficult to work with. The Cobalt and Tek-Line are very flexible and easy to work with in comparison. Similar to standard 12AWG speaker wire but the Cobalt and Tek-Line are 10AWG speaker wire. The Cobalt spades are also the easiest to work with in this comparison.

I have cobalt cables ultimate speaker wire going to my passive subwoofer. Given that it is a sub, I wanted the largest guage lowest resistance wire. The cobalt cable stuff is 10ga and is 1 ohm/1000ft. I am happy with my purchase.

The only bad value I've seen with Cobalt is their composite video cable. This is the exact same stuff sold by Blue Jeans and Ram Electronics at a much higher price. For shame! On the other hand, Cobalt speaker cable, interconnects, and power cables aren't unreasonable. Last edited: Mar 18, 2005.
