The cable has not cut out for over 30 minutes so the issue appears resolved. What makes this so irritating is how frequently these issues occur.

The fixes that were suggested were... Switch to the Arris version of the X1 box ( this seesm to fix 90% of the issues ) Add a powered HDMI splitter between the X1 cable box and the receiver. Use an optical sound cable for sound rather than run through HDMI and my favorite fix idea. Throw the X1 box out the window.
