Installed new X1 box using HDMI. Good picture, NO sound. I disconnected the HDMI cable from the X1 box and plugged into my HDMI DVD player with movie playing -- Good picture, GOOD sound. This verifies my system is not the problem. Disconnected from DVD player and connected back into X1 box -- Good picture, NO sound. The fault is in the X1 box.

HDMI directly out of box to my tv. If audio and picture comes thu then it’s ur tv input likely. If it doesn’t Is check the pins and swap hdmi. If it still doesn’t box swap. It is still doesn’t go through after the box is swapped im running the box over......maybe a setting on your tv.

Hit the Menu button on your Comcast remote control twice. Then click on Audio Setup on the Menu listings on your screen. After that, look at the HDMI sound setting. If it’s OFF, turn it to ON. Then hit the Menu button again to clear the screen. Your picture and sound should be on at this time.

mikepier: have checked the audio settings on the rec'ver. checked the settings on the STB under menu/settings and checked that HDMI was selected as the audio out in the hardware menu. we've already reset the unit twice thru comcast, but i will try unplugging everything today.
