go to device manager & check whether the audio drivers are installed. right click on My computer ->manage then select device manager... all of the desktop & laptop comes with on-board soundcard.....

If I go to the control panel and unistall the realtek drivers, then re-install them the sound works, that is until I switch off (yes I know - don't switch off then 🙂 ). When the computer restarts there is no audio....again. the only way I have found toget it working is the uninstall - re-install of the drivers. It's driving me mad.
