I have many copy utilities, Roxio, Nero and many other tools. The EU has been after Microsoft for IE and MP and other features. There's no correlation whatsoever between "problems with copying CDs" and "EU/MSFT". WMP should be able to copy an Audio CD fine. WMP does not itself copy data CDs: you can do that easily enough from Explorer.
