When I burn CDs from Media Player 11 I almost always get writing erros with loud "pops" occuring within the songs. Each Pop is located in one specific place in each song. My burner seems to work well when buring any other type of CD including standard "audio" files. The Pops only occur when buring from Media Player playlists.
