The only way for me to get audio back is to uninstall the PCI Simple Communications Controller and Creative X-Fi from Device Manager then to restart the computer and allow it to re-acquire the default drivers (if I click Scan for New Hardware, my computer blue screens, so restarting is the only way for me to get it reset properly).
