Linux kernel developer Connor McAdams , who has a "guy at Creative", has written a series of patches for the ca0132 driver for the Sound Blaster AE-5 that allow the Creative SoundBlaster AE-7 to work like any other ALSA sound card on Linux. These patches will be included in Linux 5.10 when it is released around Christmas-time this year.
