Under the control panel the Speakers->Creative X-Fi were disabled and SPDIF->Creative X-Fi was the default device. Enabled the speakers. Sound is back. I have a Creative X-Fi Titanium HD, and it looks like this using the lspci command, 02:00.0 Audio device: Creative Labs X-Fi Titanium series [EMU20k2] (rev 03), and it is not detected by ALSA, there is no sound, and I need the drivers for it.
