Jun 16, 2008. PL. Current production Hot Cake has internal trimpot for guitar/bass mode, so there is no low end loss. It's pretty fat and dark sounding OD, so you won't get that trebly bite some guys are after. I used Hot Cake today in the band and it cut through mix with no problems. I should also add that I'm not fan of bass ODs in general.
