I am running Cubase 4 through an Emu 0202 USB soundcard on a laptop. This has been running without issues for months. Now when i open certain projects the audio does not start for 5 seconds after i hit play although the time line is still in sync. i don't think it is a latency issue but i am not sure. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m new in Cubase and I have a little problem : my speakers are connected on my soundcard and when I launch Cubase, and even after, the audio of the others applications of my PC (windows 10) doesn’t work. I have installed cubase 4 without problem. I don't remember but I maybe used the compatibility mode, but i'm not sure. with my M-audio project-mix I/O. It was harder but I could install the drivers. I have also 2 UAD1 cards without problems. And finally maxi vista to have a third screen. No problems at all.
