Just joined the site. Was hoping somebody could help me with my Cubase 5 Audio Mixdowns being so quiet. Of course, this is a result of me having to lower my levels to avoid audio clipping on the main output channel. Also, I realize the mastering phase is where records really get loud. 1. take the file, play it on cubase at your "regular" volume. 2. export it (bounce), then import the file in a different session. If the volume is the same, the problem is obviously not Cubase. If you're using ASIO drivers with Cubase, then that's where Cubase sends the audio. Windows media might send it to a different driver (wave driver).
