I have my ASUS system board cd. Theres a file in the audio folder for audio drivers. I ran install and it seems to have configured a lot. But the system remains in the same state. Like it said it loaded a sound card, but then some script after that maybe alsamixer said theres no device to use. Hmm. It just worked four days ago.

Have resolved the audio on my laptop, it was just box tick in the sound menu, but the dvd/cd drive was not resolved and have reverted back to Windows 7 and so the dvd/cd drive has appeared again, so this points to a problem with Windows 10 and not the drivers. It is a Sony All in One computer.
