If you have a Zune HD you can delete them from the device itself by doing the tap and hold method on the book you want to delete. For the older model zunes you have to delete them through the software (Audible or Overdrive) that you used to put them on the device. The Zune software itself does not have any method syncing audiobooks.

When the books expire, they are deleted from Overdrive Library by the program, but the books remain on my Zune. I am unable to figure-out how to delete them from the Zune. The audio books do not show-up in the Zune program on the computer, nor in Overdrive, Audible or My Computer (Zune does not appear). Vince

Man I love that I can get books from Overdrive and still glad to be using it for audiobooks on the Zune. I convert the 64kbps mp3s into 32kbps WMAs and find the quality is still fine for voice. Transfer with Overdrive WAX creator and voila, books are ready to go on the device. Audible I sometimes struggle with transferring.
