Hi Guys, I ahve a Dell XPS M1330 laptop and a fresh install of Windows 7 RC1 x64. After install I can hear no sound from speakers and see "HD Audio Device " in Device Manager. When i install the dell Vista x64 SigmaTel audio drivers on Windows 7, my cpu goes to 100% whenever i listen to music or play a video.

I think the way Dell sets up the HDMI to only output video unless you tell it to output audio over HDMI as well, makes much sense. A typical user will likely connect the laptop to a DVI display via the HDMI port on the M1330. Therefore, that user will still want the audio to come out of the speakers, whether internal or headphones, etc.

Dear fellow Dell users, I have recently bought a Dell XPS 1330 and can't be more happy. It is one great laptop.
