Something many owners of the 2408WFP (both Rev. A00 & A01) have had trouble with in one form or the other is the HDMI audio portion for the monitor. 2408WFP monitor makes no sound I'm currently trying to get sound to work on my refurbished 2408WFP monitor. I tried plugging in the AX510 soundbar it came with and when I did, the soundbar lights up and transfers current to headphones (if I plug them in to the soundbar) but no sound comes when I play something.

My XBOX on my Dell 2408WFP using HDMI work. It is only my computer on my Dell 2408WFP that does not work. Audio from my motherboard is connected to the video card via an internal S/PDIF cable, I did disconnect this just in case the audio component was causing a problem with the HDMI signal but it made no difference.
