Have you seen the "No Audio" FAQ. The Inspiron 5150 did not have HD audio (high definition). It had an older technology called AC97 audio, so anything in the FAQ about HD audio does not apply to your model. You should run the Dell Diagnostics audio tests. You most likely have a hardware problem but the tests can tell for sure if it is.
