I just bought RAGE, figuring I would play it while waiting for a Deus Ex patch, but that game has similar issues of its own. Widespread users have reported stuttering every few seconds, I get stuttering and/or a pause of a few seconds every 5 to 10 seconds or so. So far none of the online suggestions have worked, vsync makes no difference, etc.
