Diamond subs are some of the best you can get for the money, although they are no JL W7, they are quite sufficient and beat a lot of higher costing subs, they also have very good sound and hit hard. I personally don't own Diamond's but I have a friend who has 1x12" running on 300W and it hits harder and sounds better than most peoples pairs.

The d9 and d6 subwoofers are a very good SQ sub. I am selling my Diamond D6 however, because I want something a little quieter. I have had a few Diamond subs and they all have a bit more motor noise than I'd like. Either way, they are great for the price. I've never heard anything lower than the D6 line.
