DO NOT use the stand alone installer. After uninstalling Pro Tools, you should trash the Digidesign core audio driver located in that HAL folder before restarting and reinstalling Pro Tools. Done it (and upgraded to 7.3.1cs3). But with no improvement at all. Still not connected while the Digi003 shows 'working'. Some more system details:
