Solution: Control Panel -> Sound -> Recording (tab) In the Recording tab window, right click and enable "Show Disabled Devices" In my case, "Stereo Mix" was disabled. Enable the device. Worked for me!

Copied. I am reinstalling Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 on a new computer but get the message "The currently installed soundcard driver does not support DirectSound Input. Recording audio is not possible". I have noted comments on similar sound problems elsewhere but have not seen anything that seems to solve this problem.
