Hi Folks, I have got Sanei UV-211 tube amplifier... Bias settings according to manual : 90V( Grid) and 65mA(for 211 tubes) bias...at this settings I get distortions in sound...I can get rid of distortions only on high Bias - around 100-110mA. I …
Folded/Shunt Cascode driver for 211 | diyAudio

Folded/Shunt Cascode driver for 211. On the left is the input stage that I am currently using in my SE amp. The input stage drives a MOSFET source follower that drives the grid of a transmitter triode. I get about 2.5%THD at 75Vrms with about 65dB of gain in that stage. Distortion is a very low order waterfall.

The amplifier section is very simple, but effective. The only adjustment is in the 211 filament circuit. Measure from ground to each side of the 211 filament with your meter. Adjust R9 until the voltage on the filament is nearly equal (+5V, 0, −5V). The bias on the 211 cathode should be around 60V DC.
pros/cons of a 845 VS 211 | diyAudio
https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/pros-cons-of-a-845-vs-211.103744/
The 211 works better with a 15-20K transformer. 3) 845 will give decent output with only 850-900 volts. The 211 likes to see 1100-1200 volts before it "comes alive". BUT The 845 needs tons of voltage from a (relatively) low impedence driver for it to do the above benefits. The 211 is easy (relatively) to drive.

Small Triode (45, 2A3 or 300B) or Big Triodes (211, 845). If you choose small Triode stick with the 300B (more power and better sound). But if you choose the Big Triode amp, forget 211 & 845 tubes, the best sound Big Triode is the 805 Top Cap, it had a huge gain of 50, not 6 or 12, and is a very detailed tube. If you can afford real NOS 805 (if ...
