It sounds like you have Hardware damage from dropping it. If your Laptop is still under Warranty, contact the Laptop Manufacturer. If not under Warranty, contact a good local Repair Shop. I dropped my dell laptop and now it says "no audio output device is installed" and it wont play any sound. What do I do? The title basically says it all. Dropped laptop no sound from speakers. 2021-10-06, 19:24 PM. Hey y’all. So I dropped my laptop by accident and now the sound doesn’t work. I did some research and ended up disassembling it and the headphone jack came slightly undone from the motherboard. I did some research and it’s definitely the jack. It thinks something’s plugged into it.

Either the speaker connection is loose or the speakers are broken. You might be able to check the cable that runs from the speakers to the motherboard and reconnect that, but that requires opening...
