I also get sound when changing channels, but only for a moment, as if the anti-plop settings are working in reverse. I also noticed that I cannot choose the audio input, like I was able to with my old tv card (BT848 based wintv-pci). While sliding the volume slider, the sound is mono and only comes out of the left channel.

Video and Sound worked in Dscaler as long as the STB software was installed on the machine. This was great in Win98, but in WinXP the STB software will not install correctly nor will it run. So this means no sound in Dscaler.

I also have a PVR150MCE and my sound also didn't work. The only way I could start it, was to first start MediaPortal in TV mode, exit and start DScaler. Sound then works. So it seems DScaler just doesn't initialise something. I'll have a look if I can create a custom graph (but I haven't used graphedit before, so don't count on it to work ).

for some reason i cannot get audio to work. i tried the different audio lines (menu dshow, audio input) but nothing happens. the audio output is set to default. do i need to restart dscaler if i change settings? (most settings seem not to be saved) the winTV application from hauppauge has sound but well... i would prefer dscaler.

Dscaler keeps getting updated you know First it only supported the composite and s-video input, now it does support the tuner as well (you'll notice I stated I was using it) its just not supported well. Definately the ATI software is far better at this point, but solid Dscaler support would certainly be nice as it is far more configurable.

Getting It Working. 1. Delete any previous copy of DScaler.ini. 2. Run DScaler.exe. 3. Select specify your tuner card, tuner type, processor speed, and preferred default from the dialog box that appears on startup. If your exact card type is not listed then try Standard Card (bt878).

ukrainian, I have an report that it is not needed to disable your drivers an the restart your PC. Simple exit your PVR app before start DSCaler. I've no idea at why your IR is not working after DScaler's exit. The cx2388x part in DScaler is not perfect at the moment. But I think we get it step by step a little bit better.
