So this means no sound in Dscaler. This leads me to believe one of two things: 1. The STB software initializes the hardware at System start up, and this allows Dscaler to take advantage of the hardware at any time. or 2. Dscaler merely calls on the vxd's, ocx's, dll's (that are present due to the STB software install) at program run.

The first problem is that Dscaler does not initialise the audio on PVR150/500 cards and the seperate issue is that Dscaler will sometimes mute the wave output. Is there no way to solve those 2 problems for the next versions of Dscaler ?

Anyway, I decided to try 4.1.9 because I'm impatient. No problems so far except in Dscaler (finger crossed). I still don't get sound, but the odd thing is that I can get some sound by sliding the volume slider back and forth under advanced settings->cx2388x advanced, but at no pint does it maintain constant sound
