dsPIC Audio DAC - studionebula.com
http://ebrombaugh.studionebula.com/synth/dsPIC_adac/index.html
dsPIC code for this will be developed using the freely available Microchip MPLAB IDE, including an assemblerand GCC-based C compiler. A C skeleton/test project is provided as a startingpoint which provides two sawtooth oscillators sampled at 48kHz with pitchcontrolled by analog input CV 0 and 1. Additional driver code for SP…

The Audio Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) module is a 16-bit Delta-Sigma signal converter designed for audio applications. Two output chan nels support stereo operations. Data input is in the form of a 16-bit digital value from the application program via the DMA module or the DAC

RE: Audio DAC of dsPIC for non-audio purpose? 2009/02/03 10:08:53 0 hi jay_mchp, this is the document i was working with, but the code is for example using DMA access, i just want a simple example where i put 0xFFFF in the register and i have the maximum voltage in the positive output, or if I put 0x0000 I have the minimum voltate.

I am using the 16 bit audio DAC from dsPIC33FJ128GP802 and I am having a lot of noise, even if the output value is held constant. I have obtained better results in the past using 8 bit PWM from an ATmega328. I have already checked that the power supply is properly filtered, also that the analog circuitry is properly working without adding any noise.
