Mine has always worked fine for bitstreaming. Assuming my mkv's are muxed in the proper order. If I put the audio track before the video track in mkvmerge it won't bitstream DTS-HD. I have to do it the other way around. However now I do it all in handbrake so it's not an issue. I have the shield surround sound set to auto and 5.1 off.
