The problem stems from the fact that you have a hardware MPEG2 encoder card and Windows' VFW interface marks the incoming stream as a video stream, even though it has both audio and video multiplexed together. So VirtualDub doesn't recognize the audio. You're usually stuck with using the included software with that type of capture device.

My Dazzle DVC100 always work fine with Windows 7/8/10 =<1909 until I installed 2004 and also get Inserted Frames with choppy videoplayback and distorted audio. I have noticed in device-manager, the audio device of the dazzle is reported as "Dazzle DVC100 Audio Device" (2004/20H2), but in =<1909 as "DVC100" with the same latest driver 1.08.

Dazzle DVC 100 DVD Recorder is only works with VirtualDub, why does it not work with other programs? My capture card only works with VirtualDub only and not it's native software Pinnacle Studio 12 or anything else such as Adobe Live Media Encoder, XSplit, etc.

Hello. I have a Dazzle DVC100 capture device. My computer has an onboard Realtek audio device. My capturing software is VirtualDub. When I record, the sound has this high-pitched whine to it and the quality is really poor. If I uninstall my Realtek sound drivers the sound is much better, but still inferior to what it should be.
