Check any documentation just to make sure about the supported formats. (dvd-r / dvd-rw /dvd+rw / dvd+r / vcd / svcd /etc.,etc..) dvd-r being the more widely easily supported / accepted. This post has been reported. My experience is that DVD Flick does the job. I believes that SJ and WHS use DVD Flick on a regular basis.

I've used DvDFlick a long time ago and it worked, but now it doesn't. When it encodes the audio on Title 2 its taking an insane amount of time. One time I let it run its course in curiosity and after at least 10 hours the finished DvD doesn't work. Now if it has trouble on encoding the audio I just abort the DvD project.
