I thank you all for your responses. The problem was solved as there was a DVD and also a CD in the same case, unbeknownst to me. And please don't misunderstand Mary, I was not trying to rip or copy a movie or video from a DVD, I was talking about a bit of music from the DVD that I wanted to copy. That is audio not video.
