I was not able to demo the A7's, but I spoke to a couple of very well regarded pro audio dealers and the consensus was that the A7's were not that impressive, despite the hype. I even had a dealer who is rather well known on this forum tell me to get the BM5's even though he was an Adam dealer and NOT a Dynaudio dealer.

Dynaudio is nice, no doubt, but not on par with Adam for a studio monitor. And one important thing to keep in mind is the true purpose of studio monitors. The Adams sounded more 'alive', a bit overstated, but at the same time very natural, which I also liked. Another way to describe the difference; the Dynaudios were more hifi, and the Adam's like a visit to a dentist that you love... In the end, for my needs I chose the A7's ( 'cause I need to see my dentist lol).

I've got lots of experience on the BM5a-mkII, BM6a-MK1, and the Adam AX7s. The Adams are the most natural, unhyped high-end of the bunch. The HF ribbon instead of a tweeter makes a big difference. The Dynaudios are just so bright that they're a bit deceiving. The A7xs also have a nice midrange punch (similiar to NS-10s) and great low end.
