I enthusiastically reviewed the C4 in March 2003, so when Dynaudio previewed its 30th-anniversary model, the Sapphire, at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show, I decided that the Stereophile reviewer to write about it would be me. Which, given the demands of my day job—editing this magazine—inevitably delayed the publication of the review.
Dynaudio Sapphire loudspeaker Measurements | …

The Dynaudio Sapphire's voltage sensitivity is specified as 88dB/2.83V/m. My B-weighted estimate on the speaker's tweeter axis, calculated by DRA Labs' MLSSA system with a calibrated DPA omnidirectional microphone, was a little higher, at 89.2dB (B)/2.83V/m, but I suspect this was because I performed the measurement with the grille removed (see ...

The Contour 20 is an elegant-looking, two-way, stand-mounted speaker, and now I'm about to audition another: Dynaudio's Special Forty.

A little research revealed that the last Dynaudio speaker Stereophile reviewed was the 40 Special in November 2018. The last floorstander was the Dynaudio Sapphire in 2009! When I set about selecting a floorstanding speaker that fits my room in a …
Dynaudio Sapphire vs Revel Studio2 - Audiogon Discussion Forum
https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/dynaudio-sapphire-vs-revel-studio2
Phew Dynaudio hit it out of the park with this speaker. Much of this section will probably more of a back and forth about this speaker versus the Revel, as that is really where my head was at. This speaker also retails for $16,000, so this is a far comparison. The Sapphire has a slightly more forward midrange presentation than the Revels.
