Anyone using EasyCap with Vista 64bit? Finally fot the drivers and got the vid to work, but no audio. I have my VTX plugged into the EasyCap dongle and have tried changing options in Visual Studio and changing default device in sound control panel. Maybe I'm missing an audio driver? Have external mic and sound enabled in the Eagle Tree software.

Follow the instructions provided with the cable and install the driver before you plug the easyCap into the computers USB port. Once the drivers are installed attach the adapter and install the software. I would suggest you to uninstall the drivers for the adapter from the system and then reinstall it and check whether the issue is resolved.

The easycaps sometimes come with an old version of Ulead Video Studio which will NOT work beyond XP. Also, why the mic socket ?. Even if the capture software is 'working' it probably does not see that input. Audio should go to the audio-in (pink) socket. If your laptop does not have one of those then you are shot. The red/white RCA cables are the audio (left/right). The yellow RCA is the composite video input. So, assuming the device is outputting audio, I'd suspect a configuration issue or a faulty EasyCap. Part of the EasyCap setup should have been to configure the audio, or at least I would expect it to be.
