We have recently bought an Easycap USB 2,0 video adaptor with audio to capture the VHS video from our Panasonic camcorder. It was intended for use on our new media centre which is run by Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit. According to the Easycap packaging it is Vista compliant. The red/white RCA cables are the audio (left/right). The yellow RCA is the composite video input. So, assuming the device is outputting audio, I'd suspect a configuration issue or a faulty EasyCap. I have been trying to get an understanding of why the EasyCap is rubbish (as mentioned in this thread: EasyCap vs ATI 600 for USB capture devices? ), and I understand that the build quality is pretty bad, the included drivers are worthless and won't even install, and the audio side is useless (at least with my current setup).
