Well, I could tell just about anyone my studio uses a $3,000 Apogee converter and they wouldn't know any better. That's my way of saying the Echo AudioFire12 sounds excellent. I have no complaints whatsoever. If I thought the sound was the least bit flat or gritty, I'd say so. The 1/4" jacks in the back of the unit are very tight.
