Also, the construction/look of the unit is excellent, but the gain knobs feel very delicate and not very precise (the ones on the Pre8 look sturdier). The software mixer that comes with the Echo is very flexible and lets you route any input to any output. Also, the Echo can be bus powered and has an internal power supply (no wallwart!).
