Apparantly, the 500 series doesn't have enough voltage to build a real neve style unit, so you get emulations. The Eisen isn't particularly upfront sounding, but it does have a lotta bass, and it has this rich character that I prefer over the P1. I posted clips somewhere on this board comparing the Eisen 'neve-ish' with a P1 and a osa L3.
