I found an Elf E2125X mini amp (250w @ 2Ω) refurb on Ebay and bought two 6½" Hertz-Biketronics speakers, and that turned out to be the upgrade I should've done years ago. Wiring the 6Ω Hog Pods to the 3Ω Hertz speakers in parallel gets you a 2Ω final output, the lower limit for the amp which gives the greatest power output.

I'm pretty impressed with my little Elf Audio E2125x micro amp. (about $150 on ebay) The Elf is essentially a knock off of the Arc KS Mini 125.2. I bet you could fit the Elf amp and the passive crossovers that come with the components all under the passenger seat.
