    I'm building too the Elsinore speaker, now I'm cutting the wood. And I did a mistake in the hole for the tweeter, it isn't a circle I didn't used the blade suitable for doing circular cuts and it was hard to get the blade in the direction I wanted. The hole diameter is 80-82mm.

    Normally we would connect the drivers in parallel and get a 3-4 Ohm speaker. Yes, the voltage sensitivity would likely match the Elsinore, but the current required would quadruple, so efficiency is not improved, just a heavier load on the amp.     As it is, the current series/parallel configuration of the Elsinores give you a nominal 8 Ohm load. If you parallel first before series, then you'd have to do a series crossover (Elsinores uses parallel crossover). I am afraid you are on your own and whatever you end up with, they won't be an Elsinore speaker. Joe R.
