The 519 is very close to the E.A.R. 509 amp. The difference between the 509 and 519 amps is the 519 amps have a separate screen supply which allows lower supply voltage with 600uf of capacitance. You can use PL509 or PL519 tubes in the amp. Tubes seem to last forever. After you set the bias it just holds and is very easy to check on the amp.
