If you have access to a Mac with Toast with Jam, all you need to do is check the pre-emphasis box for each track. On Exact Audio Copy on a PC, there is a way to edit some sort of text file to specify the pre-emphasis. Not very user friendly, but supposedly it works. Haven't tried it myself though.

Anyway, the best way to copy such a CD is to use EAC's wave files, and set the emphasis flag to "yes" on the copy. This way, the copy will be faithful to the original. I checked four programs. EAC ( http://www.exactaudiocopy.de ) and Feurio ( http://www.feurio.de ) allow to set the emphasis flag to "yes" on a copy.

Between dBpoweramp, EAC, and CUETools I'm set for ripping and archiving needs. For CDs that have pre-emphasis I also use SoX to apply the de-emphasis. Maybe the next version of dBpoweramp will do the pre-emphasis processing as well.
