Reply #3 – 2003-09-02 22:55:39. "Timing Problem" just means that the CD-ROM took a little longer than normal to read the data from the CD, and is not indicative in any way of errors in your rip. However, these problems only occur in Burst mode, and for an accurate rip, you should really be using Secure mode... EvanS.

Stephonovich. Extracting at 7x is pretty good for secure mode; I usually get 4-6x on a non-scratched CD, with my 24x/12x/4x LG burner. As I said, methinks you can just ignore it, but maybe try Googling for timing errors, or perhaps your drive and EAC, e.g. 'Samsung 123xxx EAC'. Or try subtituting 'exact audio copy' for EAC.
