Yep, he's been the "don't tell anyone" black sheep of the audiophile world for years. I actually ran into him (literally) at an upper-mid-fi/high-end stereo store in LA when I lived there; the guys who worked there said he was a regular. Fabio - if you want to count romance novel "beefcake" cover models as "celebrities" - was a major audiophile. Rick Rubin - at least comparted to Anthony Cordesman - is a celebrity and he is an audiophile. I would think high end dealers and/or custom install guys in LA and NY could best answer this question.
