Hi, You have two options. A) Demux stream in Mpeg Streamclip or similar convert ac3 audio to wav, aiff or somthing more editable, import the separated streams in final cut and put together in secuence, the mpeg2 video will be recode depends setings of your secuence. I'm trying to import .mpeg files to my FCP (6.0.5) timeline, but for some reason it will only import the video, no audio. The audio won't play in the viewer or the timeline (in fact it doesn't come up as having audio at all). the audio meters aren't picking up any signs of audio, but when i play it in imovie, audio sounds fine.
