Ok I finally fixed the sound problem for my clevo d900t with Fedora Core 6 and looked what the minimal changes were to make it work When you install for example GNOME Desktop Environment it also installs alsa-lib. Optionally you can install alsa-tools alsa-utils alsa-oss, but you cannot install alsa-drivers.
