Hi there. I need to convert youtube video to audio. I convert youtube videos to mp3 usually with Youtube source and Lame and it works pretty well. This is for vlogs / talking videos, so coverting lossy-to-lossy doesn't matters.But I want to make process a bit faster, so demuxing is better idea.

Foobar can play ac3 (dolby digital), DTS and lpcm, if you install the ATSC A-52 AC3 decoder and DTS decoder plugin. If you can rip the DVD / BR to files (MKV for instance), you can use FFMPEG to strip the audio to FLAC using ffmpeg -i rip.mkv -map 0:0 -acodec: copy -vn output.flac. You'll have to sort out a script.
