The message "Audio Video not available" is most likely being generated by your TV. What it's "saying" is that you've got the TV on (for instance), AV1 or HDMI2 but there's no signal coming into the TV from that particular socket! So check that the TV is on the same "Input Socket" that your Dick Smith receiver is connected into.

I'd be inclined to suspect the television or the SCART cable. The aerial seems unlikely as the sound is ok, and you've already eliminated the Freeview box. Try another SCART cable if possible and if that isn't the cause then - if possible - maybe try another television temporarily. HTH, John. 0.
